Fête des Vendanges de Neuchâtel

A couple of weeks back we headed to Neuchatel to celebrate their annual wine festival. It is the biggest wine festival in all of Switzerland and the streets of Neuchatel are closed to traffic. It was cold and rainy, but still thousands of people came to the party:

If I didn't know better, I would have had no idea that this was a wine festival. The booths were selling food and beer and sweets, but I didn't see anyone selling wine
The only thing that made this "wine" festival different from any other festival was the funny guys who were walking around pouring out free wine

Luke and his coworkers
Jack attempting to break through the wall of people.
We told Jack that if he wandered away again he would get a leash. We weren't kidding:
 It didn't work so well.
But we got our point across, and Jack didn't wander off again. He decided to just hide under tables:
 And lay in the street
After Jack was thoroughly bored we decided to head over to the rides:
Then he started having fun:

More and more people kept pouring into the city
Kids (and adults) everywhere had bags of confetti

Jack went through 2 bags of this stuff
Finally he's asleep for the night

 And we can party! ;-)
