The best part about living in the country were the cakes we could get at our local boulangerie. The region we lived in was referred to as the "Vully" region and thus the cakes were called "Le Gâteau du Vully"
There was the bacon cake which was similar to a deep dish pizza, topped with creme fraiche and then loaded with at least a pound of bacon
